The Canyon Motel

The Canyon is a pet friendly motel that we understand  that pets are an extension of your family.  We gladly welcome our guests traveling with pets. Just because you’re furry, should not mean you have to spend the night in the car. 

Unlike other “pet friendly” motels, we never charge for Service animals.

The following represent our pet friendly motel policy:

• A pet fee of $10.00 is required for each pet per night.
  

• Maximum of 2 pets per room.
  

• Your pet must be declared during guest registration, guests who do not register their pet or bring non-approved pets into a guest room will be charged a $100.00 fee.
  

• In consideration of all Canyon Motel guests, your pet must never be left unattended in the guestroom.
  

• Please keep your pet on a leash (or in a carrier) when you are outside your room.
  

As the registered guest, you are financially responsible for:

• Any damage, excessive and/or exceptional cleaning charge at the Canyon Motel, and this includes, but is not limited to, pet odors and pet stains.
  

• Any injuries to Canyon Motel employees or motel guest caused by your pet.
  

I am Mr. Mugz, just Mugz for short if you please.  I am a fully certified attack trained Yorkshire Terrier and while my primary job is to sit in Mom's lap and be pretty, I am also the Security Guard for The Canyon Motel.  I will greet you (if I am in the mood) and look up at you with loving eyes, but don't be fooled, underneath all this cuteness is the heart of a warrior.  I may look like 8 pounds, but I see myself as a 150 pound Mastif!  I like long walks but I am not too crazy about thunderstorms.  My favorite movie is Benji 'cause he's a cool dude, just like me!  I like to bark at cats from my perch in the front window because.....

I am a dog and that is the only reason I need.

We are sad to say that our beloved "Little Man" Mr Mugz went to doggy heaven on 2 October.  We shall always remember his strength and love that he brought to so many peoples lives.  Mugz, we miss you every minute of every day. Dad

We are spoiled rotten and we never ever snuggle like this; really we don't, Dad just made us do this for yet another "Oh How Cute" picture.  Really, believe us,  just look at our expressions, don't we look miserable? 

Can we go back to sleep now?

I am Ms. Petunia, Tunie is what everyone calls me (but I don't answer).

I am really cute, especially when I am asleep, which you can see in my portfolio shot which I use extensively in the doggy modeling world.  You see, I am a Diva of the highest order.  I came from a very bad place where they made me give up my babies and made me live in a cardboard box.  Therefore, since I now live with Daddy, I am entitled to all the food I want and I am allowed to sleep all night and all day.  Personally, I think sleep is highly underrated and about 23 hours a day is just about right.  Oh, I love to sit in laps and be held.  I like very short walks (between sleeping locations) and soft fuzzy blankets.
